Rangers - ‘Deerfield Village’

Taken from the ‘Suburban Tours’ LP on Old English Spelling Bee, this track and ‘Moaners’ have been on constant loop in my head for the last two weeks, also every time i watch this video i have a sudden urge to play Lylat Wars (Starfox 64).

There’s very little of this band available digitally, and their records have already sold out in the UK.  However there are two more tracks over on the Rangers myspace, and they have a free download of what appears to be an EP called ‘Death Of Rangers’ (DOR).

Rangers sound like the spawn of educational vhs tapes. If they had actually soundtracked all those chemistry videos on latex making machinery and fossil fuels with harry the hydrocarbon, i might have focused more in the class instead of resorting to showcasing that my friend has no pain-response and getting people to stab him in the hand with a pen or a pair of compasses…  I’d nearly go back to school for that shit.
